Valve Changer Tooling

Mazco manufactured valve changers work on valves with oblong port plug valves (Mueller, AY McDonald, Dresser, Rockford Eclipse, and other manufacturers) used on service risers and meter valves. These units are available in sizes from .300″ to 2″. All valve changers are Professional Engineer certified.

These valve changers work on valves for service risers, meter valves and other main line isolation devices. This technology allows for valve changes up to 100 PSI in a gas-free environment. Changing valves can be done in a few minutes and does not require eliminating flow from the source.

Manufactured valve changers are customizable to irregular port configuration and sizes and are customizable to virtually any length or diameter.

Tapered Self-Threading Plugs

Mazco manufactures tool adapters and tapered threaded plugs for stopping gas flow in service tee connections. They are available from 1/4″ and up, for threading into concentric holes drilled in the main or perforator type holes in the main.

Mazco manufacturers tooling to remove perforators on clamp-on or welded service tee connections and installing these tappping plugs as the initial closure to stop flow. Clamp-on devices can be completely removed from the main line without interupting main line flows.

Mazco also manufactures over-drilling tooling for torched or burnt holes in the main, to make them concetnric and allow the plug to be inserted.

Drilling Tool

Mazco is excited to introduce a new drill for the Safe-T-Stopper line of products. This drilling tool is used to drill holes on the backside of an elbow. Then a rubber plug is inserted, thereby stopping the gas to the branch outlet, so abandonment procedures performed without blowing gas.

Mazco Introduces Half Collars

Mazco has recently introduced redesigned half collars for its safety stopper equipment tooling. These half collars secure the tooling to the service tee connection by a rigid loop under the branch connection. These collars provide fail-safe security against tool movement.

The original half collars and safety strap security retention system are still available and promoted as part of the tool in the event of branch connections (couplings or elbows) that may interfere with rigid loop half collars.

If you have any questions regarding this technology, please contact one of our distributors or Mazco direct.
