A gas-free service tee renewal is only as good as its seal. Before the Safe-T-Stopper removes a cap or plug, the tool has to seal tight on the tee, and the retainer half collars are what make that happen.
The J-Loop retainer half collars are an alternaative for the standard half collars.
What Half Collars Do
The two halves clamp around the tee below the cap. Together they retain the tool’s packing so it seals against the tee. With the seal in place, the crew can open the ball valve, remove the cap through the tool, and set a rubber stopper or self-tap plug without releasing gas.
The J-Loop design secures the tool assembly by adding machined aluminin loops that fit under the branch offering enhanced safety after cap removal.
